All your local arts organizations are still here for you, bringing you both live and virtual events! The PACE Center in Parker presents an exciting online/in-person art show, where you can purchase works for your own home, as well as a kids’ Valentine’s Day treat class. Meanwhile, Lone Tree Arts Center brings an exclusive live-streaming event with favorite jazz vocalist Allan Harris. Don’t miss these exciting arts events!

TUSKEGEE AIRMEN
This timely discussion about race in the military extends all the way back to World War II—when the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African-American pilots in the U.S. armed forces, helped to win major victories for the Allies. COOKING WITH BEER ONLINE
While no one has yet figured out a way to actually get beer online, you can at least learn how to cook with it! This virtual class will teach you the understanding of how hops are affected by heat and how to add a level of bitterness or sweetness to the dish with beer. 

The menu includes IPA Mushrooms on Toast, Juniper Crusted Steak with Tartiflette, Amber Ale pan gravy, and even IPA ice cream! You must be 21+ to reserve this class, and there is a two-person minimum per reservation. Price includes the full ingredient kit to be picked up in advance of the online class.

ART SHOW AND AUCTION
Even in a pandemic, you can still view and bid on amazing original art for your home! Support the Parker Artists Guild and PAG Bright Futures High School Art Scholarships by purchasing one-of-a-kind paintings, sculptures and photography from remarkable local artists!  

The 144 Fine Art Exhibition and Sale is aptly named since each work of art is 12 x 12 inches—or 144 square inches. Sculptures fit into a 12 x 12 x 12 inch cube. The proceeds from the exhibition and sale go towards the PAG Bright Futures High School Art Scholarships fund, awarded each year to promising honors art students selected from Parker Arts’ Annual Portfolio Day competition. To view the top 72 works of art in-person on display at the PACE Center, call first to confirm operating hours.

ONLINE CIRCUS
Ringling Brothers doesn’t come close to this circus full of diversity! Not only is this three-ring show available online, but it also offers a multi-sensory platform for audience members who may experience the world in a unique way. Circus Omnium also has numerous multi-abled international performers who will delight you, not because of they perform despite their disabilities but because of their extraordinary talents.

KIDS CLAY STUDIO
Class starts today and runs every Friday through February 26! Kids ages 7-12 will get hands-on clay time, learning various techniques for making pottery. The instructor will guide them through a specific project or let them come up with their own creation. All works will be glazed and fired for them to take home at the end of the course! STAR WARS QUIZ SHOW
Does your family excel at trivia that revolves around Star Wars? Then this online quiz show will be right up your alley! Douglas County Libraries will be featuring online Star Wars-themed trivia games over the next few months, starting tonight with the original trilogy (Episodes IV, V and VI). Gather your padawans and get ready to travel to a galaxy far, far away!

LIVESTREAM: HARLEM AFTER DARK
Longtime Lone Tree Arts Center favorite artist Allan Harris returns this year in a virtual concert. As the vocalist/guitarist of his jazz trio, Harris and his fellow musicians bring a professionally-produced livestream directly to you! 

Harlem After Dark has been chosen by Forbes magazine as one of the top streams to watch during the pandemic as they perform songs from jazz standards to R&B to rock classics. And you’ll have the unique opportunity for a special live question and answer session with Allan Harris immediately following the show!

KIDS VALENTINE TREATS
Your kids will love learning how they can surprise you with some Valentine’s Day treats! This special cooking class just for kids will teach them how to prepare Cheesy Heart-Shaped Pizzas, Strawberry Cheesecake Dip (for pretzels and graham crackers), Heart-Shaped Scones with Strawberry Topping, and Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries!

ALL-WHEELS SHOW
This community Jeep, car, and bike show is for anyone who loves their wheels—and all ages are welcome! Whether you’ve got four wheels or two, bring by your set of wheels to show-off and hang-out with other vehicle enthusiasts! A grill will be fired up on site for a feast of hot dogs, and cold drinks will also be served. Proceeds from the event go to Military Broadcast Radio.

DADDY DAUGHTER BALL
This year, the annual Daddy-Daughter Ball is coming a bit early—in order to celebrate spring as soon as possible! Due to the pandemic, the celebration will be a little bit different, with four sessions scheduled over the course of the day in order to help stagger crowds and maintain social distancing, with time in between for cleaning.
