Ringing in a New DECADE!

It’s not only the start of a brand-new year but also a brand-new decade! And the last time the 20s rolled around, it was a roaring good time! The Castle Rock area has plenty of New Year’s Eve events to ring in the New Year, including some for families. Whether your idea of a fun night out is a Gatsby-inspired ball, an 80s-themed party, a family night at the arcade, or a concert at the symphony, you’re sure to find an event to make the night memorable!

CIRQUE MUSICA HOLIDAY SHOW
Part orchestra concert, part acrobatic circus, this family-favorite holiday show will dazzle all ages with its daring circus stunts and hilarious hijinks. Holiday Wishes is a theatrical holiday story that comes to life on stage with a live symphony orchestra playing your favorite holiday tunes.

You’ll be amazed at the grace of the acrobats and aerialists as they perform daredevil moves to the majesty of the music!

MY FAVORITE THINGS 
The signature song from A Sound of Music has been adopted as a holiday classic for good reason: this heartwarming true story about an aspiring nun who becomes a nanny is filled with themes of the season! Treat your family to the stage performance of the musical that is filled with love, hope, and music! This show is recommended is for ages 6 and up.

HOLIDAY MAGIC SHOW FOR THE FAMILY
Another chance to treat your family to a holiday show that will wow them! Adam Trent’s Holiday Magic is an immersive entertainment extravaganza of magic, comedy, and music designed to entertain the entire family.

Trent is a brilliant illusionist who specializes in high-tech stage spectacles. He has mesmerized audiences when he appeared on America’s Got Talent, The Today Show, Ellen, Rachael Ray Show, and the Disney Channel, as well as appearing in the first three years of The Illusionists on Broadway. Everyone talks about the magic of the holidays—this show captures it!

LIFE ON THE VERTICAL
National Geographic brings you an astonishing presentation by rock climber Mark Synnott, who has made legendary first ascents of some of the world’s tallest, most forbidding walls—from Baffin Island to Pakistan. Perhaps even more amazing, Synnott has chosen to use his unique talents to break scientific ground by reaching incredibly inaccessible environments in search of rare species. Celebrate New Year’s a bit early with a festive holiday brunch in a castle! This is a unique opportunity to get dressed up and embark on an outing with friends and family. A castle tour is included in the price! The elegant atmosphere of the Great Hall will be all decked out with decorations of the season—great for capturing some family photos. NOON YEAR’S EVE AT THE ARCADE
Choose from two countdowns: one at noon, for NOON YEAR’S EVE, and another one at midnight, with the NEW YEAR’S EVE party starting at 6:00 p.m.! Noon Year’s Eve is designed for kids, with noisemakers and hats, and a balloon drop and bubblewrap stomp after the countdown at noon. They’ll also get three hours of unlimited access to bowling, XD dark ride, laser tag, miniature golf, bumper boats, go-karts and $5 arcade play! 

The evening party is ideal for the entire family, and starts with an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet served from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. You will have unlimited access to all of the fun activities at Boondocks, as well as free noise makers and hats at the midnight balloon drop and toast!

NEW YEAR’S EVE COMEDY SHOWS
Take your pick from three special NYE shows with headliner Pete Lee, including a 5:00 p.m. show for all ages. Lee’s joyful brand of humor transcends age groups and is based in his Midwestern roots. He’s performed on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and is a regular on Comedy Knockout and Roast Battle. 

In addition to the earlier family show, the two evening shows are for adults 21 and over. The 10:00 p.m. extravaganza includes party favors, a midnight champagne toast and countdown with the comics.

RING IN 2020 WITH THE PHILHARMONIC
If you are a fan of Broadway music, you won’t want to miss this chance to ring in the New Year with a spectacular Broadway’s Best show by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and special guest vocalist Franklin has appeared in Jersey Boys, Legally Blonde, and Grease, but for one very special New Year’s Eve, he’ll be joining the Philharmonic to celebrate the start of 2020 with hits from Broadway’s greatest shows.
