Santa’s Coming to Castle Rock!

There are plenty of opportunities to catch Santa and Mrs. Claus all over the Castle Rock area this weekend! From Reindeer Games to Breakfast with Santa to an afternoon tea with Mrs. Claus to a Royal Visit in a castle, you’ll find the Jolly Old Elf and his wife popping up everywhere—even at a special Philharmonic concert!

A READING OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL 
Everyone knows the story of Scrooge, Tiny Tim and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future—but have you ever heard it read by Charles Dickens himself? 

Travel back through time to 1844, where you will be the guest of the famed British author. Cherokee Castle will take on an old-time atmosphere with candlelight and Victorian Christmas decorations, as this unique interactive theatre event gives you the chance to hear all about the inspiration for the creation of the classic work, as well as excerpts from the story.

A KANTOREI CHRISTMAS
You will be filled with Christmas spirit when you hear the stunning sounds of Denver’s top a cappella choir performing their program of holiday classics, including a mesmerizing rendition of Silent Night. The talented group Kantorei was formed 22 years ago, when six friends decided to create a choir capable of singing a broad range of a cappella music, and has grown into a group of more than 50 talented singers. See why they have been enthralling audiences in Colorado for more than two decades!

SANTA’S AT THE OUTLETS
Santa is at the Outlets all weekend long, ready to hear what your kids are wishing for. And for one night only, he will also be listening to pets! Sunday is Pet Night, starting at 8:00 p.m., so not only the kids but your pets, can tell Santa what they want for Christmas!

WHITE CHRISTMAS – THE MOVIE
The classic Irving Berlin tune is the centerpiece of this 1950s movie with the same name—and you won’t want to miss your chance to see it on the big screen with a roomful of other classic movie lovers! 

Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye are a song-and-dance team who get snowed in at a Vermont inn where a sister act (Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen) are also performing. Romance, comedy, and lots of dancing ensue, along with the best holiday score ever! Enjoy popcorn, vintage candies, and a signature cocktail with the screening. This event is for adults 21 and over.

REINDEER GAMES IN CASTLE ROCK
Fun for the entire family—a winter wonderland including live reindeer, a visit from Santa, treats, and sleigh rides! Kid-friendly events include outdoor games and an obstacle course. Kids will receive an elf buddy at the end of the obstacle course while supplies last. Then everyone can enjoy a ride on the Winter Express train, winding along paved trails in the park. Dress warmly and bring your holiday spirit!

THE NUTCRACKER OF PARKER
Parker’s own dance school presents their version of the family holiday classic, performed to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score. Join Clara on her magical journey with the Nutcracker Prince to meet the Sugar Plum Fairy and a bunch of dancing toys.

With costumes and set design as enchanting as the holidays themselves, The Nutcracker is sure to delight the entire family!

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
Better than milk and cookies—this is an all-you-can-eat breakfast with Santa! The entire family will want to be there when Santa sits down at the table, perched in his royal chair and accompanied by his merry elves! Enjoy pancakes, sausage, juice, and coffee with the Jolly Old Elf himself. Santa will listen to every child’s wish list, and Mrs. Claus will be on hand to help make holiday crafts.

SANTA CLAUS AT THE PHILHARMONIC

Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow will find it hard to contain their excitement at this special family-friendly Philharmonic holiday concert. There will even be a visit from Santa himself! Featuring classic holiday tunes, including On Christmas Day, Bassoon It Will Be Christmas, The Twelve Gifts of Christmas, Concert Suite from Polar Express, The Night Before Christmas and Sleigh Ride, there’s even a Merry Christmas Sing-Along everyone can participate in.

This Free for Kids concert is even free for older kids (with adult ticket purchase).

MEET MRS. CLAUS
For a cozy holiday afternoon, bring the kids to the Hilltop Schoolhouse in Parker for a visit with Mrs. Claus! She will be serving delicious Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. Afterwards, kids will make their own ornaments with Mrs. Claus’ expert help! Kids can explore the selection of books from the 1900s and see an HO Colorado and Southern train on display, similar to the one that stopped in Hilltop over 100 years ago!

CHRISTKINDL MARKET EXTRAVAGANZA

A ROYAL VISIT WITH SANTA
See Santa in style when he comes to Cherokee Castle! The afternoon begins with a first-come, first-serve sign-in to see Santa when he arrives at 3:00, but until then, there’s plenty to keep the entire family busy! Horse carriage rides, tasty treats, warm drinks (hot chocolate for kids and spiced wine for adults), as well as a real Santa Gertrudis—a red calf all dressed up for the holidays! 

There will be castle tours, and you won’t want to miss seeing how these halls are decked for the holidays! When Santa arrives, he’ll be accompanied by Mrs. Claus, and there will be ample photo opportunities in front of the fully decorated castle!

No one captures the essence of Christmas cheer like the Rat Pack! Featuring talented tribute entertainers who bring Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, and Ava Gardner back to life, A Rat Pack Christmas will transport you back to a time when the holidays were glamorous and everyone was all lit-up like a Christmas tree! 

This hugely entertaining show features Frank, Dean and Sammy’s greatest hits, including That’s Life, Volare and The Candy Man, plus all your favorite holiday hits. Get in the holiday spirit—Rat Pack-style! This show features the adult themes and humor the Rat Pack was notorious for and is recommended for mature audiences only.
