BEN ROY – LIVE
Ben Roy’s first streaming comedy special Hyena!, was recorded at Comedy Works and is now on 800 Pound Gorilla Media. If you aren’t familiar with Ben Roy, he’s been taking comedy audiences by storm since 2004, bringing an unparalleled energy and unique voice to the stage. Often compared to Lewis Black or Bill Hicks due to his passionate, ranting approach, Roy has a style that is definitively his own.

Roy cut his comedic teeth here in Denver at Comedy Works. Since then, he has been selected to perform at many comedy festivals and has been featured on HBO’s Funny as Hell series; as well as on the Comedy Central shows Adam DeVine’s House PartyCorporate@midnight, and This Is Not Happening. Ben has released three stand-up comedy albums and was listed as one of Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch in 2015.

Along with fellow Denver Comedians Adam Cayton-Holland and Andrew Orvedahl (who collectively perform as The Grawlix), Ben, wrote and starred in TruTV’s original comedy series Those Who Can’t, which ran for three seasons and can now be streamed on HBO Max. In addition to stand-up comedy, Roy is a prolific musician, currently the lead singer of SPELLS.

There may be some steep off-trail hiking so suitable for most people in good physical condition.

Reservations include access to Cherokee Land for the hike and participants must be 12 years or older. WATERLOO BLACK & WHITE GALA
In 1954, Tweet Kimball purchased Charlford Castle and the adjacent homesteads to form Cherokee Ranch in Sedalia, Colorado. Over the next 45 years, she forged a legacy in cattle ranching, developing and exporting Santa Gertrudis seedstock globally and introducing the breed to the Rocky Mountain West. At her castle residence, affectionately known as “the house,” Tweet pursued her passion for the arts, amassing a collection of European paintings and collectibles from her travels and auctions across the U.S. and Europe.

The event will feature cultural performances, a screening of a short film about CRCF, and a limited live auction of premium packages. The Waterloo Gala is the annual birthday celebration in honor of Tweet’s lasting legacy—in the tradition she began herself. NOAH KAHAN
As Noah Kahan changes, he casts those experiences onto songs like light through a film projector. At the core of the music’s upbeat energy and unfiltered lyrics, you’ll hear who he was before and who he became—almost in real-time. The Vermont singer still pens songs straight from the heart and still cracks jokes with his signature, self-deprecating sense of humor; he’s just changed in all of the right ways (and chronicled them via his song writing). He gained that understanding through quite the journey from smalltown Vermont to global renown. He’s racked up over one billion streams, released two full length albums (Busyhead,2019 and I Was/I Am, 2021) and amid-pandemic EP (Cape Elizabeth, 2020). Noah picked up a Gold Certification for “Hurt Somebody” feat. Julia Michaels, and performed on television shows such as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Late Night with Seth Meyers, and TODAY.
