Vintage SNL Weekend Near Crystal Valley!

In just this one weekend, four former Saturday Night Live cast members will be performing comedy shows in the area! Kevin Nealon headlines Comedy Works South for two nights, and a collection of SNL alumni—Jon Lovitz, Chris Kattan, and Tim Meadows—will perform a special show at the PACE Center for one night only! Also happening this weekend: the tree-lighting celebration at the Outlets at Castle Rock!

TODAY/TONIGHT, November 11

VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION
Pay tribute to a veteran in your life by accompanying them to the Highlands Ranch Veterans Day Celebration inside the Douglas County Library. Arrive early so you can first visit the Veterans Monument, located outside. This unique tribute memorial honors three extraordinary hometown heroes whose names are etched in stone: Staff Sergeant Christopher Falkel, Sergeant Jon Stiles, and Corporal Max Donahue.

WHO OWNED CASTLE ROCK?

CLUE THE MUSICAL
Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Miss Scarlet…all suspects in the popular board game, Clue—and now characters in the musical version! Like the game, you take part in solving the mystery: who killed Mr. Boddy, in what room, and with what weapon?

Everyone in the audience will receive a form to keep track of the clues and help deduce the solution.

THE GREATEST SHOWMAN SING-ALONG
Spend a family night at the movies, singing along with songs you know and love! This screening of The Greatest Showman will include the songs’ lyrics on the screen so you can sing along! Hugh Jackman stars in a bigger-than-life celebration of the birth of show business and the spectacle that became a worldwide sensation. The colorful images, the all-star cast, and the infectious show-stopping performances will make you feel like you’re right there, performing alongside them!

THE MUSIC OF WWII
It’s an era noted for its remarkable music as much as the storm of events going on in the world—the end of WWII also marked the “Finest Hour” in the history of American music. Jazz, western swing, blues, and pop all energized dance halls and radio waves throughout the country. 

Relive the music of the times, from Billie Holiday and Gene Autry to Lester Young, Doris Day, and Bing Crosby, with this nostalgic concert performed by powerhouse vocalist Davina Sowers and the western-swing/gypsy-jazz trio, Hot Club of Cowtown.

A PARIS STREET CHRISTMAS MARKET
One of many artisan holiday shopping events in the area this weekend, a Paris Street Christmas Market is the only one that conjures the feeling of strolling down your favorite rue in the City of Lights!

KEVIN NEALON – LIVE!
Remember the SNL Weekend Update anchor with the dry sense of humor and likable demeanor? That would be Kevin Nealon, who has also had great success in an extensive film and TV career after leaving SNL. Best remembered as “Mr. Subliminal” in recurring SNL sketches, Nealon has starred in more than two dozen comedies, including Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer both with Adam Sandler, Anger Management with Jack Nicholson, Daddy Day Care with Eddie Murphy, and Just Go With It starring Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston and Nicole Kidman. This weekend, you can catch Nealon where he really shines—on the standup stage!

YULETIDE BAZAAR
Here’s a way to get holiday shopping done and contribute to a good cause at the same time! The Yuletide Bazaar is the annual fundraising event for the Mountain Pine Woman’s Club, with proceeds from this one-day event going towards scholarships and support throughout the local community. Over 100 vendors will be selling their goods at this feel-good event!

TREE LIGHTING CELEBRATION
Can’t wait for the holidays? You don’t have to! The Outlets at Castle Rock are kicking off the holiday season this weekend with their spectacular tree-lighting celebration! The Radio Band will get the party started, playing covers of all your favorite hits. Later, Santa Claus arrives, escorted by the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders! VINTAGE SNL – LIVE!
Three of the funniest Saturday Night Live cast members reunite for what is sure to be an evening of stand-up hilarity! John Lovitz will always be known as the Pathological Liar (“Yeah, that’s the ticket…”) and his recurring role as The Devil on SNL. He’s gone on to be featured in many roles on the big and small screens.

Chris Kattan was one of the longest-serving cast members on SNL and is best known as one of the head-bobbing Butabi Brothers (opposite Will Ferrell), a sketch so popular it went on to become a movie, Night at the Roxbury. Tim Meadows is known for his uncanny impersonations of OJ Simpson, Ike Turner and Sammy Davis Jr. during his 10 years on SNL, and went on to star in the comedy films Grown Ups, and Grown Ups 2 with Adam Sandler and Chris Rock.

SPOKE N MOTION
The beauty of dance is imparted through the beauty of diversity in a unique, creative art form called Integrated Dance. Spoke N Motion celebrates a passion for music and movement in a diverse population of dancers with and without disabilities. Dancers are comprised of youth through seniors, those with and without vision, chair dancers, individuals recovering from traumatic brain injury, some with Parkinson’s or autism, and all who share the LOVE of dance! At the request of the artists, masks are required for entry.
