Car Show, Doggie Spa and Yacht Rock!

POSTED September 10, 2020

All of a sudden, you’ve got a wealth of comedy and jazz concerts to choose from! This weekend in the Castle Rock area, the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra is back with a live concert, featuring jazz vocalist Heidi Schmidt. Plus a doggie spa for Fido, kids’ triathlon and car show are happening in and around the Rock. And, if you’re in the mood for a laugh and a half, catch the PACE Center’s Comedy Zone extravaganza!

TODAY/TONIGHT, September 10

This special socially-distanced edition of the popular Highlands Ranch Mansion Series lets you enjoy a soulful jazz concert on the lawn! Local vocalist Heidi Schmidt will be there with her live band, performing all your favorite jazzy hits! Bring your own picnic and chairs, and enjoy a beautiful evening.

The lawn will be marked off in “pods,” designed for two to four people each. You’ll need to wear a mask and practice social distancing when you are not seated in your pod. There will not be alcohol served at this event.

You’ll hear Count Basie’s version of I Can’t Stop Loving You as well as new Stevie Wonder arrangements from CJRO’s latest CD recording.

You will be assigned seats that ensure 6’ of social distance between parties. Masks are required. If you would like to see the concert but can’t attend in person, you can stream it online for $10 per household!

The show is emceed by Comedy Works’ New Faces 2017 finalist, the always-goofy ShaNae Ross! That’s three great reasons to come out and laugh!
