Holiday Lights and Displays!

POSTED December 20, 2016

The most magical time of the year becomes even more so, with bright white and dazzling colored lights hanging, swirling, swinging and even synchronized to music! Take your pick of displays around town at zoos, houses, parks and gardens that you can walk through, drive by or drive through! At Crystal Valley, we’re far from ordinary, but close to everything!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, 4250 Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Rd., Colorado Springs

The Electric Safari, rated number one in Colorado when it comes to holiday lights, is located at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and features more than 85 light sculptures spanning 50 acres.

Denver Zoo, 2300 Steele St., Denver

That other big zoo in Colorado is a close second with Zoo Lights, which includes 70 acres of dazzling lights as well as Santa visits, live entertainment and other fun surprises.

Rockin’ Christmas, 1021 Neptunite Pl., Castle Rock

lightsCheck the local light works, rated number three in Colorado! And believe it or not, Rockin’ Christmas isn’t sponsored by the city or a business; it’s the hard work of your Christmas-lovin’ Castle Rock neighbors.

A Hudson Christmas, 6115 S. Santa Fe. Dr., Littleton

Located at the gorgeous Hudson Gardens and Events Center, A Hudson Christmas showcases “thousands of twinkling lights in majestic trees, visits with Santa (through December 23) and memories for the whole family.”

Denver Botanic Gardens, 1007 York St., Denver

The Blossoms of Light at the Botanic Gardens is not only a great visual experience, but also features tasty treats — like the Gardens’ yummy hot chocolate and brown sugar-glazed almonds.

Chatfield Farms, 8500 W. Deer Creek Canyon Rd., Littleton

The Botanic Gardens at Chatfield Farms has a Trail of Lights with everything from grand insect sculptures to an amazing 60-foot cottonwood tree with more than 35,000 lights, and a Magical Enchanted Forest!
