Outdoor Concerts in Full Swing!

One of country music’s biggest stars brings his No. 1 hits to a concert in the park in Castle Rock this weekend! Randy Houser will perform his CMA-nominated Song of the Year, live! Or check out two popular local bands at Tunes on the Terrace—the high-energy Soul X and the nostalgic Set Sail. Nothing says summer like an outdoor concert!

YOU’VE GOT MAIL AT THE DRIVE IN
It doesn’t get any sweeter than this! Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks star as two soulmates who have never met, back in the day when everyone had dial-up AOL email accounts. Their cross-country romance over the internet is sure to capture the heart of even the most cynical viewer!

A WORKOUT THAT CHISELS

SOUL X ON THE TERRACE
Denver’s favorite soul band is back to celebrate summer with a high-energy concert on the terrace! Soul X has been an audience favorite in the area for years with their raw talent, versatile repertoire, and showmanship!

You’ll hear your favorite Top 40, Motown, blues, 80s, country, and funk tunes.

A BUG’S LIFE ON THE OUTDOOR SCREEN
What better place to watch the delightful animated film A Bug’s Life than out in the backcountry? Away from it all yet close to home, the Highlands Ranch Backcountry Base Camp is a wonderful spot to bring the family for an outdoor movie. 

Pack a picnic and your favorite snacks, and bring along blankets or camp chairs. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE AT THE DRIVE-IN
The drive-in is a great place to see all the movies you’ve only watched on TV before—including the entire Harry Potter series! This installment marks the time leading up to the big battle between Good and Evil, with Dumbledore preparing Harry for the final battle with Voldemort.

WILDCAT MOUNTAIN 10K/10 MILE RUN
Get away from the crowds and out on a beautiful trail! These races start at the Douglas County East/West trailhead and run along the picturesque Wildcat Mountain trail system in the HRCA Backcountry Wilderness Area. Choose to run a 10K or a 10-mile race! You’ll have the chance to view wildlife along the way as well as enjoying the amazing mountain views.

PRINCESS PORCH VISIT
Due to COVID-19, Princess Parties may be out, but your child can still visit her favorite princesses safely! At this FREE porch visit, you can bring your child close enough to say hello and get a photo with a princess, but still stay a safe distance away. This event is appropriate for children ages 2-10. The event is free, but you must register all members of your party. Every child must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone at all times.

RANDY HOUSER IN CONCERT
CMA-nominated Song of the Year, Like a Cowboy, is only one of many of Randy Houser’s memorable country tunes. He’ll be performing live outdoors at a concert you won’t want to miss, playing songs including his three consecutive No. 1 hits, How Country Feels, Runnin’ Outta Moonlight, and Goodnight Kiss. Tickets are limited due to social distancing, so be sure to get yours early!

TOP GUN AND BINGO AT THE DRIVE-IN
Top Gun was the summer blockbuster hit more than thirty years ago, and now you can re-create the experience of watching this action-packed flick on the big screen at the drive-in! A NIGHT OF ESCAPE

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT MOVIE
While the kids may love The Princess Bride as much as you do, this romantic outdoor movie screening is for grown-ups only! Your ticket includes a food truck entree and two pints! Bring along blankets or camp chairs to sit outside. Groups will remain distanced during the film.
